Lisa Rosenblum was hired as King County Library System Executive Director in January 2018. Prior to KCLS, she served as Director and Chief Librarian at Brooklyn Public Library in New York City. Lisa has worked in the library sector for more than three decades. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis, Maryland, and a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. Lisa currently serves on the University of Washington Information School MLIS Advisory Board.

Dominica Myers, Director

Dominica Myers was named Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in October 2020. Dominica comes to KCLS from Seattle Opera where she served as Associate Director of Administration with responsibility for company-wide Racial Equity and Social Impact initiatives. Her community leadership includes serving on the Board of Trustees for Inspire Washington, and on the Tacoma Creates Advisory Board. Dominica has a BA degree in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Spanish from Central Washington University, and a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University.

Angie joined KCLS in November, 2021. She brings over 20 years of experience working in diverse communities throughout the country. Before coming to KCLS, she served as the director of central services at the St. Louis Public Library. Miraflor has also served as the director of customer experience at the Brooklyn Public Library, associate director of the West Bronx Library Network at the New York Public Library, and division manager for literacy and learning at the San Jose Public Library. Angie holds a master’s degree in library and information science and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from San Jose State University.

Angie Benedetti was named Director of Library Outreach, Programs and Services in June 2022. Angie has worked for KCLS since 1996 where she began her career as a Young Adult Librarian. She moved to Collection Management Services as a Selection Librarian before becoming Manager of Selection and Order. She has served as a Regional Manager since 2009. Angie earned a Bachelors degree in Comparative Literature and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington.

Tracey Thompson joined KCLS in June 2021. Prior to KCLS, she served as the collection manager for Pierce County Library System. She also has worked at Metropolitan Library System (Oklahoma); New Mexico State University Library; and Vogelweh Air Base Library in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Tracey earned a master’s degree in information and library science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Central Missouri.

Cecie Streitman was named Director of Library Operations in June 2022. Cecie has been with KCLS since 2005, where she started her KCLS career as a Reference Librarian. She has served in various librarian and management roles throughout the county, with her most recent being Library Regional Manager for the Lakeview Region (Bellevue, Crossroads, Lake Hills and Newport Way). Cecie earned a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Masters in Education from Seattle Pacific University.

Danielle Perry joined KCLS Human Resources in January 2009, focused on safety, risk, and compliance, prior to becoming Director in 2019. Before coming to KCLS, she spent a decade in workforce development in Seattle-King County. Danielle earned her Bachelors of Science in Social Work from Syracuse University.

BJ Colvin was named Director of Information Technology Services in December 2022. BJ has been with KCLS since 2021, where he started his KCLS career as the Business Applications Manager. Before joining KCLS, BJ worked as a Telecommunications Administrator for the Walla Walla Public Schools and as the Director of Information Technology and Governance for Association Options. BJ earned a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management, an MBA in Information Technology Management, and a master's degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
